Persian 4 in 1 Chainmaille Bracelet
I can't tell you how long it took me to learn the Persian 4 in 1 Chainmaille weave. I purchased tutorials, read free tutorials, watched umpteen YouTube videos and still couldn't figure it out. Finally, after watching the YouTube video below many times, I got it! The hardest part is getting started. Once you get started, the weave is pretty easy. I felt pretty stupid that it took me so long to learn it. However, I still find I go back to this video if it's been awhile since I did the weave just to see how to get started with it. The video always makes me laugh because I swear the guy in the video is setting in his bathroom while he is showing you how to weave with shower curtain rings. But, the bigger size rings helped me finally learn the weave.
I was really surprised to find that the big local craft stores and bead stores do not carry any of the products I use in my jewelry. I had to do all my researching on the internet to figure out what kind of beads and/or jump rings I was looking for. So had to do a lot of trial and error buying. A couple of times I did get some help in the local bead stores as to what type of bead or thread I should look for but they didn't carry any of it. Anyway, below are some links to some online stores that I use and really like:
Fusion Beads: Great place for any type of beads you are looking for. I buy seed beads, charms and beading material from them.
U Bead It: Specializes in Japanese Seed beads of all types. I use 3mm cube seed beads in my bracelets and can only find these in online stores.
Blue Buddha Boutique: Great store for buying jump rings for chainmaille jewelry. I buy my Aluminum and Niobium jump rings here. They also have great tutorials.
C&T Designs: Carries all kinds of jump rings for chainmaille jewelry. They carry Rainbow Niobium jump rings that I just love.
